Magical Ethiopian Opal

Born in fire from the depths of the Earth

There are several opals out there and they are classified as Precious Opal and Common Opal. Precious Opal has that fire that everyone loves in opals. Ethiopian Hydrophane Opal is a form of White Precious Opal and the gems has recently been discovered in the Welo area of Ethiopia in 2008.  What is Hydrophane? It simply means a type of gem that is volcanic. Ethiopian Opals are born of fire--through volcanic activity.

Opal is a hydrated amorpheus form of silica. In other words, it has water in it. According to mindat.org, it's not really classified as a mineral.

Ethiopian Opal connects to all of the chakras and helps you to acknowledge anger and release it. It also works with you when it comes to releasing other negative emotions such as fear. The "fire" you see brings light to your energy field and eliminates low vibrational energy (negativity) while replacing that hole with higher vibrational energy (joy, happiness).

Meditation

Holding an Ethiopian or White Precious Opal, simply visualize what you want--prosperity, happiness and joy. Take a few deep breaths and slowly release them as you visualize yourself achieving your dreams. This stone is a projective stone--it will help focus and draw what you truly desire into being.
